This is where it started! FITKIDS classes are for children aged 5-11 years.
Does your child do at least 60 minutes of exercise a day? This should include aerobic training (to increase the heart rate to break out into a sweat) and strength endurance training for the muscles and bones. At FITKIDS we cover this and so much more! We focus on different components of fitness such as; cardio-vascular, endurance, flexibility, motor skills – agility, speed, balance, co-ordination, power, reaction time. All of these are important for sports and general health.
We do have a balance between competitive and non-competitive activities. Quite often those who don’t do quite so well in academic subjects can exceed in practical exercise. Some activities are as part of a team such as Fort Boyard, Snowball fight and fun relay races. We also do individual activities such as ladders (fast feet) and circuits which are designed to progress specific skills without the competition so they can focus more on their technique. FITKIDS children will receive certificates at appropriate times.
Sessions are for each 1/2 term. We ask that you pay half-termly in advance to secure their place. Texts / emails / facebook messages are sent when this is due.
We are based in Bitterne, but we can come to your venue. Perhaps you are a School looking for something different or a club such as Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs or Scouts. We could offer a regular session, a 6 week programme or a one-off depending upon your needs.
